Smithson and Kelvin, a pair of independent traders, encounter a long-lost ship containing many of mankind’s most significant artworks. Being first on the scene, they are forced to deal not only with the single remaining crewman, but with the bickering Imperial and Federal navies, who seem willing to go to war for possession of the ship.
